Yet with all the action on Bitcoin, it’s worth keeping track of Ethereum. BTC only rebounded 29% from its monthly lows, ETH recovered 39%. We’re also starting to see gas prices dropping below 100 gwei after February’s gas crisis.

Although gas prices will always be somewhat of an issue, the passage of 1559 has Eth-heads feeling bullish.

Contrarian view: I think Optimistic Rollups are overhyped + almost all of the action will end up on ZK rollups The 1 week withdraw period + fraud proofs will be a big restriction to overcome In theory you could move between L2's like @loopringorg + @zksync very easily...

9/ this is b/c optimistic rollups have a week long withdrawal period zk-rollups do not have this restriction, which makes them better for NFTs and apps which require more frequent interop w/ L1, but more on that in a second so what happens with the rest of DeFi?

Finally, to address some issues with gas prices, Curve announced a vote on CIP#53, to add a gauge for the TrueUSD ($TUSD) Metapool. This will help bring down the prices for Y pool, which can cost about $67.

TrueUSD, the only stablecoin fully collateralized by US Dollars and attested live on-chain, has billions in monthly trade volume and reach to over 120 countries. The proposal could generate fees and incentives for Curve, so every veCRV holder should consider voting.
