Our takeaways from Paris
La France est belle en été! If you were following at home, you likely already saw all the major announcements blasted across the internet.
If you didn’t attend, any FOMO is not so much about any particular announcements from the event, as it is any action on the ground you may have missed. For whatever it’s worth, any time I was at an event IRL, I was feeling FOMO wishing I could be browsing Telegram, Discord, and crypto Twitter.
Of course, the entirety of EthCC is utterly massive, encompassing not just the main event but all the myriad side events hosted around the city by various groups. Nobody could adequately recap the entirety of the event. It’s like trying to ask somebody to summarize what happened on “the internet” this week: it will invariably be a snapshot highly biased towards whatever particular pages they happened to browse.
With this in mind, here’s a very good recap from one very sharp colleague I had the fortune of meeting during my time in Paris:
