The official release of Vyper 0.4.0, codenamed Nagini, has shipped.
The release is so massive, some notable features didn’t even make it into the launch thread. Follow the official Vyper account and Telegram for surely more alfa to come.
Among several changes in Vyper 0.4.0, arguably the most anticipated is the release of Vyper’s novel module system, which favors code-reuse through composition as opposed to inheritance. Look forward to future releases explaining the in-depth reasoning and advantage of this design.
For now, suffice it to say that a module system had previously the most monumental hurdle facing Vyper, but it has since been checked off the list. Congrats to the team!
