Votium is a vote incentive and delegation platform for vlCVX gauge votes, including Curve/Frax, Prisma, and FXN. Users who lock CVX as vlCVX can get rewarded for their voting power by participating in Votium’s gauge votes. Votium uses its delegation vote to streamline user experience as well as equalize how much each vote costs for participating protocols.
Why is this important?
By controlling the largest vlCVX delegation (currently around 34%), Votium has the resources to deliver the most votes to gauges sponsored by participating protocols, which drives value to Convex voters. Since our launch in late 2021, we have brought over $300m in value to vlCVX voters, which is more than CVX's current FDV. With this organic revenue stream, Convex has one of the most impressive P/E values in Crypto, which is currently at 4.8
Besides your project, what are you excited about / watching right now?
Mostly focused on the Curve / Convex ecosystem. Looking forward to seeing further collaboration between Llama Airforce and Pirex, as well as seeing how FXN's leveraged CVX product, xCVX, performs over time. The building never stops.
What will the greater landscape of onchain finance look like in 18 months?
That's the billion dollar question. I believe that with the recent ETH ETF approval, and Crypto being more included in global governance discussions, we will see a lot more attention being brought to the space. This will hopefully bring a lot of new users to DeFi, and I think we will see a lot more innovation in the space as a result. Nobody can predict the future, but I'm excited to see what it holds. I believe we are all still early in this space, and the best is yet to come.
