In 2023, we’re accustomed to expecting multiple financial meltdowns per day.
Yet we certainly didn’t have a DefiLlama civil war on our bingo card.

llama.fiLlama.FiLlama.Fi is a DeFi TVL aggregator. It is committed to providing accurate data without ads or sponsored content, as well as transparency.

Admittedly, this divorce is one is a tough for us to swallow. We have nothing but respect for all parties, all of whom we’ve interacted with pleasantly, and all of whom we still count among our most respected DeFi heroes. Our deepest wish here is that everybody work it all out amicably.

Going to try my best to give a TLDR on whats happening at DeFiLlama in an unbiased way remember, i'm just a small unpaid contributor, not on any official team, etc. I just like the llamas and want to see them succeed So here's my best attempt:

The latter of which, poor Tendeeno, has managed to land himself amidst two embattled projects, having also contributed to Umami. Incredible designer… rotten luck…

Among the few willing to comment, Ben confirmed he is not a founder of DefiLlama, countermanding the website.

Understandably, the situation remains tense, and neither 0xngmi nor 0xLlam4 were comfortable commenting on the sensitive and rapidly developing topic.

In the meantime, a reminder to always exercise caution. Although the team has confirmed the products are all safe and we doubt any of these upstanding individuals go rogue during this chaotic era, it’s a fact that breakups can turn messy. If you’re using either site’s products, make sure to stay on high alert.

PSA: DefiLlama is going through a hostile takeover. Do not use any DefiLlama product while the tussle is going on. Uninstall their chrome extension ASAP if you had it installed. Actually, uninstall all non essential chrome extensions while you're at it.

To anybody affected by the proceedings, know that you can always reach out to anybody in the broader ecosystem if you need support!

Most importantly, know that our enemies are just trying distract us from the real issue… the entire global financial system we used to know is undergoing cascading meltdowns and reconsolidation.

In crypto terms, fed encouraged banks to lock up their money in vault contracts, but the underlying isn't available for 10 years, only leaving the iou tradable, and then they devalued the ious, so now they minted tokens for the iou holders so it won't collapse the global economy.
