You may have surmised that my personal prediction for the future, in both short- and long-term timeframes, is permabullish

Yet I always try to at least steel man the bear case, both to myself and others, to keep my optimism under check.

I’ll confess, my predictions about future bear markets are just as bad as my predictions about future bull markets. During the last bull run I didn’t have “Mr. Sam ‘Effective Altruist’ Bankman-Fried stealing customer deposits” on my bingo card.
