Now that we’re in paradise, the question is: what’s the rational argument for catching a return flight to the United States? Portugal has a very tempting Golden Visa program, for which time is of the essence. It provides a pathway to dual citizenship within 5 years, with low tax burdens, sporadic stay requirements, and low costs to buy in. Portugal is also friendlier to cryptocurrency than the US, though this is a low bar to jump.
